Invivo 2015 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and ‘Sophie’s’ Rosé

Established in 2007 by old school friends Rob Cameron and Tim Lightbourne, Invivo has taken a life of its own now that it has completed its eighth vintage. The brand is enviably seen widely in the domestic market and is exported to 17 countries worldwide. The marketing of Invivo is particularly effective, as the company is named in Deloitte’s ‘Fast50’ N.Z. companies, and many consumers are aware of talk show host Graham Norton’s involvement as a shareholder. Recently the company had the honour of being the first to raise $2 million via equity crowdfunding. Here, I review two of the latest 2015 releases, the signature Sauvignon Blanc and ‘Sophie’s’ Rosé, named after the daughter of Neville and Liz Findlay of ‘Zambesi’ fashion designers, who not only designed the wine label, but are also shareholders.
