The ‘Glasnevin Wines’ brand was established by the Johns family following extensive experience growing and making wine in the Waipara Valley. The brand reflects what they see as the special nature of the wines grown on the Glasnevin gravels. The soils offer excellent drainage and aeration and tend to lower yields, the resulting wines showing minerality. The wines are made by an experienced winemaker under contract at a Waipara facility.
