Geyser Peak 2013 Pinot Grigio and 2012 Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet

16-Sep-2016
Geyser Peak Winery was founded in 1880, and is one of California’s oldest wineries. Augustus Quitzow was a pioneer in the Alexander Valley district, and the winery has flourished there for over 130 years. Recently, Geyser Peak relocated to the Dry Creek Valley appellation but continues to make quality Sonoma and California wine without change. The winemaking team is led by Ondine Chattan, with the company for over 15 years. Here, I review wines from the ‘California Series’, the 2013 Pinot Grigio, and 2012 Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. www.geyserpeakwinery.com The wines are distributed by Hancocks. www.hancocks.co.nz
