French and Spanish Wines from Stephen Bennett MW

22-Jan-2016
It seems a little quieter with Stephen Bennett MW at present, but he assures me that he’s been keeping very busy with his wine importing business. Stephen’s company ‘Bennet & Deller’ focusses on modern, affordable and interesting overseas wines that provide something different to the typical diet of varieties and styles of New Zealand wines, and at different and accessible price points. Stephen’s Master of Wine contacts have been extremely helpful in sourcing such wines. He works with a number of distributors companies which take up the wines he imports. Stephen has also maintained his hands-on winemaking, and continues to produce New Zealand wines according to his specifications. Here, I review two French and two Spanish wines which exemplify his importation business. Stephen can be contacted at email: [email protected]
