Fifth Bridge is the secondary wine brand of Ceres Wines, the winegrowing venture of the highly respected Dicey family of Central Otago. James a winegrower, Matt a winemaker.

The Fifth Bridge wines are named for the fifth bridge between Bannockburn and Cromwell, linking the two communities since the late 1800s.

Dark, deep ruby-red with a lighter edge. The nose is powerful with depth, with a concentrated core of red cherries, blackberries, entwined with dark herbs, liquorice development and oak spices. Medium-full bodied red cherries, red berries and blackberries, melded with thyme, liquorice; and a layer of pepper and oak spices. The acidity is lively, carries the fruit with energy, showing youthfulness. The fine-grained tannin extraction is firm with a strong grip, leaves the palate dry, lingers with liquorice, Sichuan pepper and oak spices. This is a powerful Pinot Noir with flavours of red fruit, herbs and oak spices; with subtle development of liquorice on a firm, fine-grained tannin texture line.
