Fault Line is a brand of Marlborough Valley Wines and is named after the 7.5 magnitude earthquake which struck the Marlborough region on 16 October 1848, rather than the recent spate of tremors at Seddon. In the 1848 event, land moved as much as 8 metres horizontally along a fault line of at least 105 km in the Awatere Valley. The wine is made by the well-respected Alana McGettigan and is available at www.blackmarket.co.nz
