Drake and Woods Crampton Wines from Fourth Wave

09-Mar-2016
Fourth Wave Wine is a family owned importer and wholesaler specialising in modern and affordable European wines with distribution in every state in Australia. The owners work with like-minded family producers to provide wines that will be popular in the contemporary market which favours varietal fruit expression, the reflection of where the wine comes from, accessible drinking, and value pricing. The company also deals with a select range of Australian wines, each with a distinctive story, and the wines which fit in with the parameters guiding the selection of the European wines. Here, I review three ‘Drake’ wines, a range created by a diverse group of winemakers and sommeliers to offer "thought provoking wines of individual character and expression”. And also five wines under the ‘Woods Crampton’ label, a collaboration between label designer Aaron Woods and marketer Nicholas Crampton, their wines showing quality fruit from vineyards with a story. www.fourthwavewine.co.au
