Deliverance 2014 Waipara Chardonnay and Pinot Noir

07-Apr-2016
Since Muddy Water was purchased by the Thomas family of neighbouring Greystone Wines, the brand has retained its own identity and style, as well as equal footing in quality, as promised by the new owners. The Muddy Water wines faithfully reflect the terroir of the 12 ha site which is certified AsureQuality organic. The Thomas family have brought back the ‘Deliverance’ label to provide a more accessible range, have an outlet for fruit not of the preferred style, and to protect the quality and integrity of the Muddy Water brand, with a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the 2014 vintage. While Chardonnay is estate fruit, the Pinot Noir incorporates grapes from neighbouring sites. Here, I review the new 2014 Deliverance Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. www.muddywater.co.nz
