De Bortoli ‘Regional Reserve Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz

De Bortoli was established in the 1920s when Vittorio De Bortoli emigrated from Castelcucco, Treviso to arrive in Griffith, making his first wine in 1928. The company is now run by third and fourth generation De Bortolis, the company expanding from the Riverina into the Yarra Valley in the 1990s, as well a the King Valley and the Hunter Valley. De Bortoli is one of Australia’s ‘First Families of Wine’ and makes a vast range of wines and styles with great success. The ‘Regional Reserve’ wines are a value range of Victorian wines showcasing variety and region. Here, I review the Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2013 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, along with the Heathcote Shiraz 2014. The wines are distributed by Hancocks.
