Craggy Range Te Muna Road Release 2011

When Craggy Range planted in the Te Muna Road in the late 1990s, they nearly doubled the area of vines of the Martinborough region. The 2011 vintage marks the tenth vintage, and the wines have proven to be classical examples of the cool-climate vignoble, and an important part of the Craggy Range portfolio, balancing the warm-climate Gimblett Gravels and Hawke's Bay wines and those of Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago in the South Island. The warm and dry growing season led to an early harvest of intensely flavoured fruit, a contrast to the 2010 season which was cool and late. Wines from both these vintages are in this release and they reflect their growing conditions clearly. The Craggy Range vineyard and winery teams always strive to retain the terroir and inherent quality in the fruit. www.craggyrange.com
