Clarendelle 2012 Bordeaux Rouge and Amberwine

22-Feb-2017
Clarendelle is the brand created by Prince Robert of Luxembourg, the owner and C.E.O. OF Clarence Dillon Wines, arguably best known for its Bordeaux Estate portfolio of Chateaux Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion. The Clarendelle wines were designed to show the style of the prestigious wines, in particular Haut-Brion, at an accessible price. The name ‘Clarendelle’ comes from a combination of ‘Clarence’ and ‘Dillon’. www.clarendelle.com The Clarendelle wines are the exclusive imports of the Fine Wine Delivery Co. in New Zealand. Here, I review the 2012 Bordeaux Rouge and ‘Amberwine’. They are very stylish and refined, and offer true Bordeaux style and genuine characteristics reminiscent of more sophisticated and expensive bottlings. www.finewinedelivery.co.nz
