  Full, dark, near impenetrable black-red colour with slight garnet tints on the edge. This has a softly full and gently voluminous nose with packed aromas of ripe black plums and blackberry fruits harmoniously melded with a subtle layering of blackcurrants and herbs unfolding violet and black floral nuances. The aromatics are refined and integrated. Medium-full bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned with moderately rich flavours of black plums and blackberry fruit intermingling with notes of blackcurrants, herbs and earth, unveiling lifted black floral nuances. The fruit is underlined by smooth, velvety tannin extraction that builds in grip. The wine flows seamlessly along the fine-textured line, with soft acidity enhancing the smoothness. The structure carries the flavours to an elegant finish. This is an elegant, refined and velvety Merlot-based Bordeaux red with black plum and berry fruit flavours and a smooth line.   Bright, light golden colour with some depth, paler on the rim. This has a very fine, elegant and poised bouquet with aromas of ripe yellow stonefruits and waxy lanolin forming a tight, fresh and piquant core with an amalgam of citrus and nutty elements, unfolding a little honey, yellow florals and suggestions of musk, Sweet to taste and medium-bodied, this has gently rich and luscious flavours of yellow stonefruits and citrus fruits layered with honey, wax and lanolin, along with subtle notes of raisins and musk. The palate possesses some unctuousness which is balanced by fine fruit extraction and phenolic textures, and enhanced by soft acidity. The wine has a positive line leading to a honied, waxy finish of moderate length. This is a gently rich and luscious Monbazillac sweet wine with flavours of yellow stonefruits, lanolin and honey. Serve as an aperitif, or with fruit and light, baked desserts over the next 5 years.
