Cirro Wines – Marlborough Wines on Cloud 9

20-Oct-2011
Cirro Wines is the venture of winemaker David Tyney with Richard Green and Sam Wark who have formed Viscosity Wines. The wine is named after the cirro clouds which are "the highest of all clouds formed by ice crystals with thin wisp like feather tails”. The clouds figure 25,000 feet above the Southern Alps and the Marlborough Sounds. The Cirro team speculate that the pure water source from the clouds may be a factor in the distinctiveness of their wines. Their enthusiasm shows they are on ‘Cloud 9'. The wines are marketed on the internet employing social media as tools. www.cirrowines.com
