Christopher Reid Martinborough Pinot Noir 2015

26-Oct-2016
Chris Reid is a young winemaker based at one of the well-established Martinborough producers. His experience in Martinborough, Nelson, Oregon and Burgundy led him to establish his own label in 2013, to make elegant perfumed and site-expressive Pinot Noir. In 2007, Chris purchased a 0.75 ha site on the old Martinborough sale yards on the Martinborough Terrace with clone 115 planted in 1998. Since his purchase he has added close-planted Abel and clone 5. Chris tends his vineyard personally using organic regimes and biological controls. Here, I review the 2015 Pinot Noir. www.christopherreidwines.com
