When Peter Robertson purchased Brookfields in 1977, he pioneered the modern Hawkes’s Bay winery. Nowadays, Brookfields Vineyards is a very well-known and highly respected producer of a diverse range of Hawke’s Bay wine, but remains a focussed, boutique operation making 8,000 to 10,000 cases of wine annually. Brookfields draws its fruit primarily from estate vineyards: ‘Ohiti’ Estate, ‘Tuki Tuki’, ‘Bridge Pa’ and the ‘Home’ vineyard at Meeanee.
