  Dark, deep, near impenetrable black-red colour, a little lighter on the rim. This has a soft and fragrant nose of ripe dark red berry and raspberry fruits along with subtle notes of lifted pepper, The aromatics are open, accessible and show some restraint. Medium-bodied, the front palate is juicy with sweetly ripe fruit flavours of raspberries and bitter cherries, unfolding nuances of plums and liquorice. As the wine flows, the tannin structure emerges lending a dry, textural mouthfeel. The acidity is integrated and balanced, and the wine flows to a dry-textured, light, spicy red-fruited finish. This is a juicy, up-front, raspberry-fruited Shiraz with some dry tannin textures that carry the wine. Serve with grilled, roasted and barbecued red meat dishes over the next 2+ years. 90% Shiraz and 10% Grenache from the McLaren Vale, fermented to 14.0% alc. 15.5+/20 Nov 2015 RRP $11.99
