Barons and Potter ‘The Count’ 2014 – A Re-Look

12-Jan-2017
In March last year I reviewed my first wines from Barons and Potter, the negotiant label of Angela and Chris Barons, Napier hoteliers who also run the New Zealand Wine Centre, and friends Roy and Barbara Potter. They work with a number of boutique wine producers, making their own label wines under contract. One of the wines I reviewed, ‘The Count’ 2014, a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Syrah, made by Hamish Jardine of Crab Farm, is believed to have improved with time in bottle. I re-assess the wine here and find it indeed shows some more depth on bouquet and a little more detail. www.baronsandpotter.co.nz
