Tim Kerruish and his partners have ‘Ballasalla’ as a second label for their ‘Folding Hill’ wines from the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The name refers to the village on the Isle of Man where Tim grew up, and means ‘place of willows’. The wine for this label is based on that declassified from the premium label, and to date, the Pinot Noir wines have been of good quality. Here, I review a new release under the Ballasalla label, a 2014 rosé. www.foldinghill.co.nz
