Alluviale Bordeaux Blend 2010

The Alluviale red Bordeaux-blends of David Ramonteu and Kate Galloway have been consistently faithful expressions of the Gimblett Gravels ever since they have owned the brand. Although they have extended the range of Alluviale wines to include different Sauvignon Blanc-based whites in the Bordeaux Blanc styles, and pushed the limits with the character-laden ‘Dada' wines, it is the Alluviale red that remains their focus. While the wines are fully representative of the district where the fruit is grown, and reflect the vintage appropriately, they also show the classical claret style that Ramonteu and Galloway see is the best fit for the fruit.
