Allan Scott ‘Cecilia’ and 2015 Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris

31-Mar-2016
Allan and Catherine Scott are true pioneers in Marlborough planting their vineyard in 1975. Beginning as contract growers, they quickly became known as quality fruit suppliers, with Allan establishing further credentials as one of the leading viticulturists in the region, being involved in the development of vineyards for a number of major industry players. In 1990, Allan and Catherine established their own label, which has grown with the development of their estate vineyards, winery, styles and brands. Sparkling wines are a specialty of the Allan Scott bottlings. Today, Allan Scott Family Winemakers has daughters Victoria and Sara, and son Josh intimately involved in the growing, making and marketing of the wines. They continue the business as one of the most significant in the Marlborough region. Here, I review the ‘Cecilia’ Methode Traditionnelle and 2015 Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris. www.allanscott.com
