Marlborough Winemakers Wine Options 2013 – The Finals

The final round of the Marlborough Winemakers Wine Options was held at Drylands Restaurant on Friday 18 October. It was the culmination of a series of competitions held over winter. The final is a fun, dress-up affair, and was run by Andrew Parkinson of Negociants N.Z/ Ltd, as usual. By all accounts it was a great and entertaining night, and the wine were challenging. The overall winners were ‘Truckin’ Beers Hours Later’, a team no stranger to the winners circle.

Following are the main results for Round Four of the Marlborough Winemakers Wine Options, with a list of the wines served. I also list the scores and placings of the teams on the night, as well as the overall standings, as provided by committee member Helen Morrison:

1^st, 105 points, Spithoons

2^nd=, 100 points, Bourbondy

2^nd=, 100 points, Young, Talentless and Broke

4^th, 95 points, BOC
