Macvine International is a special wine distribution company, headed by Michael Jemison. It has a tight portfolio with some very smart New Zealand agencies, and an eclectic, but excellent range of imported wines, as well as distributing Spiegelau glassware.
The New Zealand brands represented are: Ash Ridge, Clark Estate, Gladstone Vineyard, Mondillo, Newton-Forrest, Tinpot Hut and West Brook, plus others. Among the Australian labels are Moss Wood, Mount Langi Ghiran, Primo Estate, Willunga 100, Xanadu and Yering Station. Wines from France, Italy, Spain, Germany and South America give real breadth and depth, making Macvine a company worth drawing from as a reseller. www.macvine.co.nz
Macvine has been taking their portfolio to their clientele with trade shows through the country, visiting Wellington on Thursday 18 February and putting up a strong selection of the wines at the Museum Hotel. Unfortunately, due to prior commitments, I could only spend a short time there. I took some photos of the New Zealand principals, most of whom send their wines to Raymond Chan Wine Reviews. Here they are.
