Hawke’s Bay Wine Awards 2011 – Trophy Winners

The trophy winners of the 2011 Hawke’s Bay A&P Mercedes-Benze Wine Awards were announced on Wednesday 18 October. All of the winners are gold medal wines except those noted as ‘Best in class’. The awards focus on the strengths of the region (as does the show), and rewards a range of aspects besides wine quality, such as the cellar door trade, and education. The Villa Maria group including Esk Valley was particularly successful. Following are the winners:
