The trophy winners of the 2016 Air New Zealand Wine Awards were announced at the awards dinner last night. The Champion Wine of the Show was the Lowburn Ferry Home Block Pinot Noir Central Otago 2014, and the Reserve wine of the Show was the Brancott Estate Letter Series “O” Chardonnay Marlborough 2015. The Lowburn Ferry label is no stranger to top awards, and is a credit to the work of proprietors Roger and Jean Gibson, and the winemaking of Peter Bartle at VinPro.
