Pinot Palooza is a celebration of the Pinot Noir wine designed by the Australian wine event promotional company Bottle Shot Concepts of Dan Sims. The same team is responsible for successful consumer events ‘Wine Day Out’ and ‘Game of Rhones’. Pinot Pilooza was held in Wellington this year on Monday 30 January, one day before, and as an adjunct to Pinot Noir 2017.

The consumer-marketed event has proven extremely popular in Australian, and is proving to be so in New Zealand. By all accounts the Wellington event was full capacity. Pinot Palooza is being repeated in Auckland this year on 9 September, and being brought to Christchurch for the first time on 17 September.

The Wellington event has been the largest so far with 115 producers on show, but for the other events expect a minimum of 100 Pinot Noir wines be available for tasting from over 30 producers. Go to to see the producers signed up to each city’s event to date.
