Full, dark hearted ruby-red colour.
The nose is elegantly presented with intense aromatics of
well-concentrated dark red berry fruits infused with white and black pepper,
revealing excellent Viognier florality and lifted perfumes. Medium to medium-bodied, this has an
up-front, deep and softly rounded core of raspberry and black berry fruits,
along with pepper and florals. The fruit
is supported by a supple and positively textured structure with a supple
mouthfeel, the grip enhanced by fresh acidity that lifts the aromatics. The fine, grainy line carries the flavours to
an aromatic, soft finish. This is an
up-front, red-fruited Syrah with pepper and Viognier lift, and a positively
structured mouthfeel. Match with
barbecued meats and casserole dishes over the next 4+ years. 17.5/20 Apr 2014 RRP $20.95
