Brilliant, light straw-yellow colour with slight hints of
gold, lighter on rim. The nose is very
fresh and elegant with pure aromas of white florals and citrus zest forming a
fine core, cut by minerally elements.
Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, light, pure and cutting white
stonefruits and exotic floral flavours are enlivened by zesty, bracing
acidity. The mouthfeel is racy and
slippery and the palate flows with smoothness.
This has plenty of tension and energy surrounding the rounded core and
the flavours carry through to a bright, refreshing finish with citrus and
floral nuances. This is a very crisp,
racy, fine-featured Albarino with pure white floral flavours. Serve with seafood and white meat dishes with
creamy sauces over the next 3 years. Hand-picked
fruit from the ‘Spade Oak; vineyard, third crop, WBP and cool-fermented in
stainless-steel to 12.1% alc., and 1.9 g/L RS.
