Bright, pale pink colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is very fresh and taut with an elegantly concentrated core of watermelon, pomegranate and cranberry fruit along with thirst-quenching mineral notes. The aromas build in depth in the glass. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses finely concentrated flavours of watermelon and cranberries unfolding subtle notes of strawberries and red floral. The palate has very fine, phenolic textures and soft acidity lending a mouthwatering mouthfeel with good energy and flow. The fruit lift and dry textures are in harmony and the wine carries to a long, lingering, gently concentrated, thirst quenching finish with delicate fruit nuances. This is a tight and finely concentrated dry rosé with watermelon, cranberry and pomegranate flavours, and a refined, mouthwatering mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and tapas over the next 2+ years. A blend of 58.5% Merlot, 19% Syrah, 17% Malbec and 5.5% Cabernet Franc from the company’s ‘Jomara’ vineyard at Onetangi, the fruit hand-picked and fermented to 12.5% alc. and 7 g/L RS. 18.0+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $25.00
