Bright, pale straw colour with slight green hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegant and tightly bound with pure aromas of white stonefruits interwoven with nutty elements and reductive lees and minerally notes. The aromatics are steely, refreshing and have intensity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly concentrated with a good intense core of white stonefruits entwined with nutty and minerally, lees notes. The mouthfeel is crisp and racy with bright and brisk acidity providing energy and tension, as the wine follows a subtly-textured line. The wine carries to a moderately lon, mouthwatering, nutty and minerally finish. This is a crisp, zesty, dry Pinot Grigio style wine with stonefruit, nutty and minerally flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2+ years. Hand-picked fruit, 79% GM and 21% Lincoln Berry Smith clone, from the ‘Thomas Estate’ vineyard, indigenous yeast cool-fermented in tank to 12.9% alc. and 6.0 g/L RS, the wine aged 8 months on lees with batonnage. 16.5/20 Sep 2015 RRP $28.00
