Bright, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, lighter
on rim. The nose is softly full and
broad with aromas of ripe yellow stonefruits and citrus fruits unfolding subtle
layers of nuts, butter and oak toast. Dryish
to taste, luscious, up-front and mouthfilling flavours of ripe citrus and stonefruits
form a rich and harmonious amalgam with notes of nuts, butter and toast. This has depth and a solid core to the
palate, the softness of the acidity adding to the mellowness of the
mouthfeel. The flavours flow smoothly on
a creamy-textured line, leading to a long, sustained finish with savoury
stonefruit and nutty nuances. This is a
full, up-front and mouthfilling Chardonnay with fruit richness and smooth
textures. Match with creamy and rich
white meat dishes over the next 2-3+ years.
