17+/20
A blend
of 85% Merlot and 15% Malbec, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc.
and 5 g/L RS. Bright peach-pink with
light red hues at the heart, lighter edged.
The nose is delicate and clean with fresh aromas of watermelon and
cranberries along with subtly lifted red florals and mouthwatering herb and red
berry elements. Dryish to taste and
medium-bodied, the palate features bright, juicy and thirst-quenching flavours
of strawberries, watermelon and cranberries, along with red floral elements and
hints of confectionary. The fruit carries
good richness, which is balanced by fine, light, drying phenolics and lively,
lacy acidity. The wine follows a
positive line leading to a soft-textured, dry finish. This is a fresh, juicy, dryish rosé with
strawberry, watermelon and cranberry flavours and some richness. Serve as an aperitif and with Mediterranean
fare over the next 2 years. 257 dozen
made. 17.0+/20 Dec 2015
