Tiki 2017 ‘Estate’, Single Vineyard’, 2015 ‘Koro’ and 2017 Maui Releases

14 December,2017

mThe Tiki Wine and Vineyards operation of Royce and Sue McKean has well defined brands and tiers for their wines. The ‘Maui’ wines are slightly more approachable in drinkability and price, but have a similar wine style to the Tiki ‘Estate’ wines which are the McKean’s signature wines. The ‘Estate’ wines are seen widely and in most retail channels. The Tiki ‘Single Vineyard’ bottlings are made from more distinctive, if not superior fruit parcels, and are more limited in production. The top Tiki wines are the ‘Koro’ bottlings, with Pinot Noir arguably the flagship variety, but this has been joined by Chardonnay since 2014. Here, I review the latest releases in these brands and tiers. www.tikiwine.com
